Our History

How it began: Chatelain Cargo Services was founded as a family business in 1970 by Victor and Therese Chatelain (the first truck of the company below). Philippe Victor, their son, took over the company in 1993 when the international sanctions against the coup d’état were being imposed upon Haiti with a three-year economic embargo. After the embargo was lifted, Chatelain Cargo Services grew considerably from a family company of about 20 employees to a corporation 15 years later of about 100 employees. In 2007, Phillipe Victor took the Chatelain name and franchised it with Mia C Dominguez, forming Chatelain Cargo Services, Inc. an operating NVOCC FMC License in the United States. Chatelain Cargo Services quickly became leaders in the world of freight forwarding, logistics, and broker clearance. Both entities have consistently grown worldwide due to their reputation of safe, secure shipping and delivery, competitive pricing, it's expanded agent network, and outstanding customer support.
